MARITIME CARGO INSURANCE

Marine Cargo:

Marine Cargo Insurance protects you against loss of or damage to your goods or cargo whilst in transit from the seller to you. The cargo will predominantly be transported via the sea.

Marine Hull Insurance:

A hull is the main body of a ship or other vessel, including the bottom, sides, and deck but excluding the masts, superstructure, rigging, engines, and other fittings. Marine Hull Insurance, therefore, covers the hull and machinery of ocean-going vessels and smaller vessels also known as sundry hull vessels.

Aviation insurance is insurance coverage geared specifically to the operation of aircraft and the risks involved in aviation. Aviation insurance policies are distinctly different from those for other areas of transportation and tend to incorporate aviation terminology, as well as terminology, limits, and clauses specific to aviation insurance.

This type of cover will typically pay for repairs and reinstatement of the aircraft to the condition that it was in before the incident, subject to certain exclusions and policy conditions that may apply. If the aircraft is not repairable an agreed amount may be paid, known as the agreed value, which is usually agreed with the insured at inception and is noted in the policy.

Physical damage insurance is provided to cover loss or damage to the insured’s aircraft, while it is in motion, not in motion or for both.
